Performs a variety of receptionist and clerical duties which includes: greeting customers, order entry, record assembly and release of information. Dependable, organized, efficient, self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks, independent thinker. The admissions assistant is responsible for greeting patients, answering basic questions regarding exams, answer phones, process orders quickly and accurately. Ability to interact well with people.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent required. Previous work experience in a diagnostic center or hospital setting desired.
OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE
Must exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The employee must have the ability to follow through with assigned tasks. This position requires frequent verbal and written communications with patients, visitors, physicians and department personnel. Routinely communicates with other hospital personnel. Obtains, presents and discusses information pertinent to job responsibility. Requires tact and adequate communication skills to clarify or give facts, to avoid misunderstanding, and to promote goodwill.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
