Sr. Network Engineer
Skills: Cisco UCS platform, NetApp SAN, ITIL v3 Framework, proactive mentality with strong monitoring/reporting expertise
The Network Engineer will be part of a brand new IT Ops team for an industry leading/global organization out of Alpharetta (Direct Hire). Be a key team member responsible to provide LAN/WAN network support; Implement and Maintain network infrastructure to meet agreed SLA commitments with the business regarding systems; Be involved in the development of strategies, business cases and timelines for projects to ensure all Corporate IT&T systems remain current.
Responsibilities
Respond as required to Network Incidents for all IT supported systems
Resolving client technical support issues
Provide troubleshooting and Incident resolution for the following (but not limited to)
WANs and Internet connectivity across internal and telco infrastructure
Routers/ Switching infrastructure
Firewalls
Traffic accelerators
Related software
Maintain and respond to proactive monitoring systems
Prepare reports for Team Leader as required
Resolve system support issues;
Willingness to be available for support after hours, as required
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant experience;
HP networking certification ie. HP-ASE or Cisco certification ie. CCNA
2 Years' experience in the installation, testing, delivery, and support of networking.
Experience with supporting a network environment with aggressive SLAs;
Experience with high availability technology, especially clustering and load balancing;
Good communication skills;
Understanding of ITIL v3 framework
