Position Overview The selected Product Owner will work as part of the IT Application development team and be responsible for partnering with the business owners of Transportation and Distribution to understand the business objectives, clearly define requirements to meet those objectives and ensure that the delivered product provides the expected business value. The Product Owner will become an expert in the systems and processes that support the transportation and distribution processes at SiteOne, solicit and document stakeholder goals and requirements, create and groom user stories, and support ongoing integration and enhancement requests.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Business and Operations stakeholders, Project Management, and IT Development teams to understand short and long-term business objectives. Document current and future state business/technical processes; and create a product roadmap based on business objectives that defines the progression from the current state to the future state definition. Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value Lead requirements gathering, analysis and verification to write effective user stories and requirement statements that are complete, consistent, concise, accurate, traceable, and verifiable Partner with Technical and Architecture resources to design feasible solutions, leveraging current assets as appropriate and consistent with the broader enterprise direction Lead discussions and design sessions involving the appropriate resources in decisions concerning UX/UIs, operational procedures, data flows, data integrity, data integration, business process reengineering and project phasing Establish and document acceptance criteria Ensure product delivered is in line with business goals and meets acceptance criteria. Play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals Partner with Customer Support, field employees and Operations to understand and document end user problems and expectations. Help triage production issues and gather information required for a developer's root cause analysis and solution design Skills We Are Seeking The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Proficiency in performing the product owner role in an Agile Scrum methodology Proven experience in creating a product roadmap based on business objectives, owning, and managing the product backlog, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders to create solutions that meet the needs of the business. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple concurrent assignments, and adapt well to changing priorities Structured thinker- You can frame and bring structure to complex and ambiguous analytical problems. Experience in the design, development, and support of large-scale, purchasing or retail/point-of-sale applications. Proven ability to lead, influence, negotiate and persuade Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills Solid interpersonal skills, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions across all levels of the organization, cultivate relationships with internal and external customers to achieve business objectives, and strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Facilitate technical and user walkthroughs of user flows or information systems Proficient at developing current and future state business processes and user flows with Visio or other tools Experience working with UI/UX and Creative teams to convert design prototypes into detailed requirements. Experience working with 3rd party vendors and offshore project, development, and testing teams. Highly skilled with running queries, interpreting reports, and using results to support business decisions. Data Ninja. Fluent in Power BI, SQL and comfortable with efficiently querying large databases. Education:
Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Perks:

$100K -- $150K
